“My antenna object was created from the leaf of the Embaúba tree. On top of it I drew Koch’s fractals and a circled crown. An antenna is much more than a utilitarian object. Just like the trees in the forest, which communicate through the deepest of the earth and the air, the antenna is a body-house. It’s giver and receiver, mother and daughter, home and universe. I created this antena-oca with my own hands, weaving, in the coming and going, a web of connection. It was a slow and meditative practice that involved a collective of beings, objects and spaces. What it will become is an instrument of listening, but it’s already an amplified seam of the invisible. Perhaps with it, it’s still possible to hear what the roots of a forest have to tell us, and to remind us of the infinite web of communication without wifi – what the city, with its civilizing process, insists on making us forget.”

“Meu objeto antena foi criado a partir da folha da Embaúba. Sobre ela, desenhei os fractais de Koch e uma coroa em círculo. Uma antena é bem mais que uma coisa utilitária. Assim como as árvores na floresta, que se comunicam entre o mais profundo da terra e do ar, a antena é um corpo-casa. É doadora e receptora, mãe e filha, casa e universo. Criei essa antena-oca com minhas próprias mãos, tecendo no ir e vir, uma teia de conexão. Foi uma prática lenta e meditativa e que envolveu um coletivo de seres, objetos e espaços. O que ela virá a ser é um instrumento de escuta, mas ela já é uma costura amplificada do invisível. Talvez com ela seja ainda possível ouvir o que as raízes de uma floresta têm a nos contar, e nos fazer lembrar da teia infinita de comunicação sem wifi – isso que a cidade, com seu processo civilizatório, insiste em nos fazer esquecer.”
